NBC’s Website Has Been Hacked

NBC.com was not functioning properly Thursday afternoon. Visitors to the site saw the following warning:
However, the site appeared to be back to normal later in the afternoon.
An NBC rep confirmed to Mashable during the outage that that “there is definitely a situation,” but declined to provide more details. Sister sites like Bravotv.com and CNBC.com do not appear to be affected. NBC has yet to address the issue in its Twitter feed.
