Pepro LLC, the leading manufacturer of shielded enclosure systems for stationary and mobile applications, today announced the release of the Platform Tower, a versatile enclosure for communications sites providing protection from direct lightning strikes, interference and other threats to public safety communications.
The Pepro Platform Tower is a configurable, all-inclusive radio site that can be towed nearly anywhere, trusted in extreme situations, and removed with no lasting impact on the location. Thanks to the enclosure’s Faraday cage construction, the site needs no external grounding or additional RFI and EMI protection. Optional features include a 50-foot unguyed tower, HVAC, power source options and Pepro’s patented shielded cable entry gland.
“This is an exceptionally flexible radio site. It doubles the rack space of our Micro Radio Site, provides the option for a far larger tower, and still goes anywhere you need communications capability,” said Pepro President, Kelly Lander. “It’s perfect for communications support where choosing a site is complicated or for meeting short term tower needs. Almost anyone can deploy this tower site in under an hour with minimal training, and it can be removed quickly without a trace.”
The enclosure’s sturdy welded aluminum uni-body design can be configured for any situation that calls for deployment in remote, hidden or restricted locations. It does not require any excavation or foundation, eliminating the need for geotechnical, environmental impact and archeological studies.
