Yesterday, at the Mobile World Congress Sprint presented the tough and super resistant Kyocera Torque. With the introduction of Kyocera Torque, Sprint for the first time has brought a Direct Connect device featuring efficient 4G LTE connectivity. The Kyocera Torque offers a regular push-to-talk convenience along with uninterrupted super fast internet connectivity.
Built maintaining military specifications coded 810G, the Kyocera Torque is equipped to withstand serious conditions such as water, dust, solar radiation, humidity, shock, vibration and extreme temperatures. These claims aren’t matters of joking. Sprint has demonstrated multiple drops from a significant height and the device survived it all. The device easily meets the IP67 standards for water immersion and dust protection. The Torque has the capability to withstand 6 hours of heavy dust flow and also can survive a pressure at 3 feet below water level for half an hour. The phone is covered with a thick rubber casing.
A cool feature is the ‘Smart Sonic Receiver audio technology’, which does the work for the traditional speakers. Vibrations transmit sounds to our eardrum directly, making the sound a lot clearer and comfortable at the same time.
The screen is measured 4 inch with 800*480 pixel resolution. The device runs on Android 4.0 ‘Ice Cream Sandwich’ and 1.2 GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Also, the 2500 mAh battery pack is a massive power house.
The Torque will go on sale from 8th March costing $99.99 from Sprint.
