Battery Life More Than Doubles with Hitachi Maxwell’s Li-ion Battery
What would be better than getting at least twice the battery life that you get now, but the battery size does not change? That is what Hitachi Maxwell’s new Li-ion battery intends to do. This new revolutionary battery also intends on making batteries have more of a shelf life to take away the worry of replacing your device’s battery.
Basically what Hitachi has done here, is they monitored the movement of Lithium-ions to determine what kind of structure they need to get more juice into the battery. They indeed figured out this new structure, so now these batteries will at least double in power, but the size will not change. Size should not matter when it comes to battery life. No word yet on when these batteries will be made available in devices today, but hopefully we will get that information soon. Let us know what you guys think.
