Cleartrip Launches New App For Android
Cleartrip released a very smooth app for iPhone last year in addition to a new mobile website. This time they have brought the same functionality to Android. The new app is called Cleartrip White for some reason. This new app brings the best mobile features of the service to Android phones . It has been a long time since the iOS and mobile web versions were launched. The company says that the Android app was built from scratch and leverages the Android design guidelines to give a fast and efficient experience of booking tickets on the service.
The app is much more minimal in design compared to the iOS and mobile web versions. This is how the start screen looks.

The new filter that they have introduced is pretty awesome and is a superb way of putting your preferences down in an easy way. They are calling it the Intelligent BS Filter

The next section is called Trips, using which you can access all your travel related information like PNR numbers, flight bookings etc. If you are signed into your Cleartrip account, the app also fills out traveller automatically. The app is also the first to have Android exclusive features like Upcoming Trips and the ability to book Business, First and Premium Economy class tickets. It sports Expressway integration which makes for a snappier payment process.
Cleartrip has not yet integrated the Train and Hotel sections into the Android app. They are bunched under the More section in the app. When you click on these options then you are taken to its mobile website.
All in all, it a very good travel app on Android and has been designed very well. Check it out and let us know what you think.
