Look out Amazon: Google is finally getting into the same-day delivery business.
Google launched a new service Thursday called Google Shopping Express that will let consumers in the San Francisco area order items online from nine big retailers including Target, Walgreens and Office Depot, and schedule to have them delivered later that same day
Those living in the Bay area can sign up to be one of a limited number of beta testers for the service. If accepted, you’ll receive six months of free deliveries. Retailers can also apply now to be part of the service — those who are accepted must supply Google with a daily feed of data indicating which items are currently in stock in stores.
