It seems that Hulu has been unable to find a permanent chief executive in the two-and-a-half months since CEO Jason Kilar announced his plans to leave the video-streaming company. Andy Forssell, Hulu’s senior vice president of content, has been named acting CEO two weeks ahead of Kilar’s scheduled departure.
Kilar copied a short note he sent to employees on Hulu’s blog late Wednesday, noting Forssell’s qualifications as a long-standing senior exeutive who helped grow the Los Angeles-based company “from two content partners and no revenue to over 450 content partners and approximately $700 million revenue in 2012.” He added that Hulu is set to make new records in the first quarter regarding revenue and subscriber growth.
