Recent AT&T 4G LTE Network Expansion Includes Georgia, Virginia

AT&T 4G LTE Network Expansion AT&T subscribers living in Virginia and Georgia are now enjoying connectivity to the 4G LTE network.

AT&T, the 2nd biggest telecommunication service provider in the U.S, Yesterday, launched its 4G LTE network on the Northwest part of Georgia covering Dalton and Calhoun city. The carrier also rolled out its network in Albany, Ga., adding the Southwestern Georgia. Heading back to North, on Tuesday, AT&T’s launching programs include Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Va. And also some parts of Portsmouth.

Aside from creating the above mentioned market places AT&T LTE network expansion program today included parts of Baltimore and Philadelphia. Initially, the 4G LTE was fired up in the greater Philadelphia region on September last year. Also today expansion will go down in parts of Bucks counties and Montgomery covering Hatfield and Doylestown, Elkton and some parts of Cecil County.

Counting these latest expansion plans, right now, AT&T is now running its 4G LTE service in 141 regions. But comparing to more than 440 markets run by Verizon Wireless, it is quite small. Sprint holds the 3rd position with 58 markets while T-Mobile is on the process of upgrading to the 4G LTE networking.

Yesterday, AT&T announced its 4G LTE hotspot service named Unite, available costing just 99 cents stating a 2 year contract.
