Bing Maps of Ballmer and Co. has been given an overhaul with a new group of images. Though the exact file size time of the update has not been announced, it is said to have about 13,799,276 square kilometers of high resolution shots with a clear and lucid view of the ocean floor, The straight down pictures have a 15 meters per pixel resolution and the new bathymetric image alters the color of the ocean, according to the depth.
With smaller amount of clouds to blur the view, the refresh enables a clear view of Earth. Microsoft’s map service is now able to cover the whole of US and nearly 90 percent of Western Europe using the pictures taken from aircrafts. Interested cartographers can explore the world with the new restored visuals present in the Bing Maps online and also with the Windows 8 app.
