Satechi Bluetooth Smart Trigger turns your iOS device into remote shutter for your DSLR camera

When using a DSLR camera, sometimes you might need a remote shutter, and if you don’t want to spend money on expensive accessories, you might be interested in today’s device.

Today’s device comes from Satechi, and it is called Bluetooth Smart Trigger. This device is designed to work with Canon and Nikon DSLR cameras, and with free Smart Trigger app, you can turn your iPhone or iPad into a wireless timer remote control for DSLR cameras. Satechi Smart Trigger uses Bluetooth 4.0, and it comes with a 50 feet range, and in order to get it working with your camera, first you need to attach it to DSLR’s hot shoe. This device comes with three shooting modes: Regular, that lets you use your iOS device as a wireless shutter, Manual Shot mode that lets you take long exposure pictures with a switch to lock the shutter open, and Timed Shot mode that allows you to perform time-lapse shooting.

Bluetooth Smart Trigger is available in three models, and as for the compatibility, A and C models are compatible with Canon EOS DSLRs, along with some PowerShot models and Pentax SLRs. As for the the B model, it works with Nikon DSLRs. Regarding the price, all models are priced at $44.99.
