Vaporized gas will only destroy and engine. The engine requires the fuel to be in fine droplets. Vaporized gasoline explodes and destroys the pistons.
Yes it will work, but it will not have reduced emissions. The Cat Converter will fail and exhaust will be high in emissions. Maybe not in hydrocarbons but the other three will sky rocket.
