Google Hangouts (Babel) Becomes Official!
The much anticipated universal messaging app is finally here! Google Hangouts (Babel) has finally been unveiled, and it will be made available to us later today, along with the new Google+. Google Hangouts is everything we were hoping it would be. You can have single or group conversations, where you can share photos and videos, along with all the normal messaging services. From desktop to tablet and phone, your notifications will sync up with each other, allowing you to get rid of a notification on all devices. These conversation threads can be saved for as long as you want them to be saved, and the app will be out later for Android, iOS, and desktop.
It is looking like this will replace our much used Gtalk, as well as the G+ messenger app. No word on SMS integration, but at least we finally will be able to use this messsaging service we have all been craving. Let us know what you think.
