Unique material is far cheaper to produce and generates almost as much power as today's thin film solar cells.

Scientists at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) are using organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite materials to create cheaper and more efficient solar cells. According to them, this next generation solar cells will be about five times cheaper than current thin-film solar cells, due to a simpler solution-based manufacturing process. Read more »
