When it comes to Nokia devices, Verizon isn’t exactly the first pick for readily available handsets. The ‘ol CDMA “thing” is still an issue that a more-so global Nokia still caters to on a smaller level. And while it makes sense from a global business standpoint, we’re sure Verizon customers and fans of Nokia/Windows Phone would appreciate some more attention. And attention ye shall receive in the near future as a photo of the upcoming Lumia 929 for Verizon Wireless has surfaced.
From the image on the right we can see that it’s a much boxier, slab-like design compared to pretty much all of Nokia’s previous Lumias which have had more of a rounded bar of soap kind of design. The accent piece around edge kind of reminds us of an iPhone 5/5s in some ways. That said, the specs are very un-iPhone like: 5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB of RAM and a 2,150 mAh battery. Current rumors put the 929′s release at sometime in December.
No doubt a great flagship product for Nokia/Windows Phone fans that’s been sorely missing on Big Red in the U.S. Who’s looking forward to it?
