Is rogue plugging into a 120 volt outlet a “theft”? The news this week is full of shock over a man arrested for “stealing” 5 cents worth of electricity from his school. As electric car owners we might be looking for any opportunity to plug in and charge, and an otherwise unused 120 volt outlet is very tempting. I’ve done so plenty of times, but it’s really best to ask for permission first.
