NVIDIA Launches GeForce GTX 750 Ti and GeForce GTX 750

NVIDIA today launched the GeForce GTX 750 Ti and GeForce GTX 750, two new entry class GPUs based on the 1st Generation Maxwell Architecture which NVIDIA proudly declares as the most efficient GPU architecture ever created.

Desktop PCs, mobile phones, and other computing devices all have power requirements and limits. In order to increase performance, there is the need to improve power efficiency. This is relevant and is a critical part of modern GPUs. Unlike other modern GPUs which have higher minimum power requirement, NVIDIA’s new Maxwell architecture delivers more performance with less power.

NVIDIA Maxwell Architecture vs the older Kepler Architecture

Compared to the Kepler Artchitecture found in the GeForce 600 series, the First Generation Maxwell Architecture uses 4 different clusters with individual control objects which allows the GPU to utilize cores more efficiently, increasing actual performance up to 35% in each core and delivering increased power efficiency – double the performance per watt vs Kepler.

Compared to the GTX 550 Ti which is the most popular GPU for gamers, the GeForce GTX 750 Ti brings 2x performance at a fraction of the power. In the past 4 years, NVIDIA GeForce GPUs has improved its power efficiency to 4X.

The new GeForce GTX 750 GPUs are the best in class in terms of power.   Providing an average of 45-50 fps @ 1080p, the GeForce GTX 750 Ti and GeForce GTX 750 brings high performance gaming in a small compact pc.  A basic PC with a 300w power supply requires less than 75W graphics card. The GeForce GTX 750 Ti has 60W TDP while the GeForce GTX 750 has 55W TDP; this makes you fit these GPUs to almost any PC.

The GeForce GTX 750 Ti and GeForce GTX 750 are quiet, more efficient and require no power connectors.  Now you can spend less on your PC, power supply and chasis and get better performance.  The Maxwell based GPUs also provides users a great way to upgrade existing pc to a great modern gaming pc.

No pricing has yet been announced but basing on the placement of the new GTX 750 GPUs, we’re expecting the GeForce GTX 750 Ti and GeForce GTX 750 on the same price range as the GTX 650 Ti.
