Scrooge McDuck’s Bank Vault Goes Up for Sale
Okay, so it’s not the “real” Scrooge McDuck bank vault, that would be difficult seeing as it’s a cartoon. But, this is the next best thing! A real-life version filled with more than 8-million coins. The bank vault is located in Basel, Switzerland. It contains over 8-million coins and 1619 fully functional safety deposit boxes (all of which comes included with the sale of the vault, you even get the keys for all 1619 safety deposit boxes). The 8-million+ coins which fill the vault’s floor are Swiss 5 Cent Rappens, which all in all adds up to around $450,000 worth of US Dollars, and more than 15 tons in weight! Apparently these coins were originally used in an advertising campaign which pushed for minimum guaranteed income for all people in Switzerland.
