Moto Maker Launching for Republic Wireless April 1st

While April 1st is generally reserved for the pranksters, this announcement is not. you will be able to utilize the Moto Maker design studio to create the perfect looking Moto X for your Republic Wireless service.

As you might read in that fancy image above, if you are one of the first 2,000 to register starting tomorrow at 11 a.m. EST, you will get the option to upgrade to one of the wood backs for FREE. Sure, it only saves you $35, but it is a nice gesture.

You will still have the option to pick up the standard black or white variant through Republic Wireless for $299 anytime you want, contract free of course. If you want to customize it a little through Moto Maker, you will be looking at $349.99 for the 16GB model and $399.99 for the 32GB model.

Now, if they can get the Android 4.4 update rolling, then Republic Wireless will be pretty well set with the Moto X as their leading device with the Moto G to back things up.
