LG L70 Dual Hands-on and Unboxing
You’ve seen the LG L40, now see its older sibling, the mid-entry Android 4.4.2 KitKat phone, the LG 70 DUAL. They both sport the same candy-bar look, only the LG 70 is obviously larger with its 4.5” screen. If you want an affordable mid-range Android phone, the LG 70 is LG’s player in the marketplace.
The LG L70 is packaged with the bare necessities for an Android smartphone. You’ll get 1x data cable, 1x power adapter and a pair of earphones.
It feels light and yet the build of the phone is solid, despite the plastic casing it’s housed in. It doesn’t feel cheap to hold.
The back cover has a non-slip dotted design that ensures a non-slip surface. You’ll also find the 5 megapixel camera equipped with an LED flash at the back.
The standard volume up/down is placed on the left side of the phone, with the lock/power button on the other side. A standard 3.5mm stereo jack is located at the top and the micro-USB slot at the bottom. The bezel is less distracting than the L40 as the screen occupies almost the whole front of the phone. It also sports a secondary VGA camera and a proximity sensor at the front.
The L70’s screen size is 4.5” with a resolution of 480×800, which brings the pixel density to 207 ppi. The screen is bright enough and the text is crisp enough to avoid straining the eyes while reading an e-book or viewing images. It’s also protected by the legendary Gorilla Glass 2.
The battery size seems better than other phone in its range at 2,100mAh, but keep in mind, the L70 is a dual-sim smartphone, so make sure that you carry your charger around.
The L70 definitely brings a lot of power for its price and gives you the freedom to play ALMOST all games available in the App Store. The L70 is a great phone with an affordable price tag that let you enjoy the world of Android KitKat, if you haven’t already.
