(Before It's News)

The eCenter@Lindenpointe (eCenter) in Hermitage will be holding a FREE series of educational camps for high school students.  Teens looking to acquire new skills while having fun will have the opportunity to learn directly from subject matter experts. Registration is required, and space is limited. Students can register at www.OpenCommunityConnections.org/camps for one or more of the programs, which include:

#webweek: June 23rd-27th 9am-12pm
Gray Mackenzie and Andrew Dymski, the founders of eCenter startup, GuavaBox, will teach students how to build their own websites in a week. GuavaBox is a successful inbound marketing agency that instructs businesses on how they can improve their marketing strategies.

Launchpad: July 14th-18th 9am-12pm
Students will be introduced to 3D animation concepts that are used to create images, short films, and video games. There will be an opportunity for hands-on 3D animation work using Blender software. Andrew Pavlick, a graduate of Sharpsville High School and the founder of Pixelque (a newly formed company also located at the eCenter), will be teaching the program.

Apps For Teens: July 21st-25th 9am-12pm
Students will learn to build their own apps without any programming background with the author of iOS Development for Teens By Teens, Chip Beck.  Beck, currently a student at Hickory High School, has 15 apps available for download in Apple’s App Store.

Big Ideas – Creativity, Design, and Innovation Camp: August 4th-8th 9:30am-3:30pm
Students will take ideas and create items using easy-to-learn design layout and 3D printing.

Bizcamp: August 11th-15th 9:30am-3:30pm
Through hands-on learning, field trips, and guest speakers, students will acquire a better understanding of what it takes to start their own businesses.

The Millennial Spark Summer Series is made possible through an eCenter partnership with Community Connections as well as the generosity of the City of Hermitage and the A.J. & Sigusmunda Palumbo Charitable Trust.

If your organization would like to support this amazing series (and be included as a sponsor on the t-shirt that all participants will receive), please contact Kyle immediately at 724.877.5594 as the t-shirt design will need to be finalized soon. Thank you for your consideration!
