This informative and hands-on seminar is designed for Pittsburgh’s corporate legal and law firm communities. During this four-hour program, UHY’s director of forensics will provide a detailed look at the forensic data collection process and the solutions our team use in the field on a daily basis. Additionally, the seminar will provide an overview of post-collection data assessments and offer strategies for defensibly reducing processing and review costs. The training is designed for those legal professionals who wish to become a more informed consumer as well as a better consultant to their client base in the areas of forensic data collection and data assessments. This seminar is not for the faint of heart, as each attendee will be encouraged to get their hands dirty from the use of industry-leading tools as they successfully collect data from a variety of sources.

• Understand the data collection process, various techniques and overall best practices
• Avoid common mistakes during the data collection and data assessment process
• Create and maintain the necessary chain of custody documentation
• Use various forensic collection tools, and understand the strengths/weaknesses of each
• Successfully create forensic images of various data sources
• Understand and manage compound data files as well as tricky email data formats
