March 9, 2015 -As a woman working in the payments industry, it’s a pleasure to offer my congratulations and gratitude to the Payments Source 2015 Most Influential Women in Payments, particularly ETA members:

  • Ann Cairns, President, International Markets, MasterCard
  • Kimberly Fitzsimmons, U.S. Market President, Chase Merchant Services and Immediate Past President of ETA
  • Carey Kolaja, Vice President, Global Product Solutions, PayPal
  • Jennifer Miles, President of Americas, Verifone and Member of ETA Board of Directors
  • Rathi Murthy, SVP and CIO, Enterprise Growth, American Express
  • Diane Offereins, EVP, President of Payment Services, Discover Financial Services
  • Debra Rossi, EVP, Wells Fargo; CEO, Wells Fargo Merchant Services and Current ETA President

Payments Source announced that the theme for 2015 is “Make It Happen”, encouraging effective action for advancing and recognizing women. The amazing influential women in payments are, indeed, making it happen! From leading multinational corporations powering international commerce to innovating new payments technology solutions, the women of electronic payments are impacting and influencing the way people pay worldwide.

Each year attending TRANSACT, I enjoy connecting with the powerful women of payments who encourage, engage and mentor one another. This year, we have partnered with W.NET, who will host their W.net SuperLINC immediately preceding TRANSACT 15 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. The Electronic Transactions Association staff -which is 60% female- works to empower the payments industry and is, in turn, empowered by our strong female payments role models.

Thank you and congratulation to all of the most influential women in payments!

Meghan Cieslak is the Director of Communications at ETA.
