Addicted To Retail (ATR) presents: Jony Ive unveils his first apple store interiors in Brussels.
Apple’s Jony Ive has turned his hand to interior design with the completion of the tech giant’s first Belgian store. The outlet opens it doors to the public on September 19, but local press were treated to a first look at the Brussels project.
Although the scheme’s trademark glazed façades retain a sense of familiarity, inside the store Ive and his co-designer Angela Ahrendts have placed more of an emphasis on natural finishes, with timber surfaces furnishing the open-plan space. Eight trees are placed at the center of the store, creating a mini promenade adjacent to the genius bar.
