The first phase of poll in Bihar is just a week away from now and a pre-poll survey conducted by Lokniti-CSDS reveals BJP-led NDA seems to be getting good advantage over the Grand Alliance or the Maha Gathbandhan led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

The survey was conducted in the last week of September exclusively for The Indian Express. It says the NDA to surge ahead of the alliance by a margin of 4 percent or more.

The survey finds if the election were held in the last week of September, the NDA would have got 42 percent of votes and 38 percent votes would have gont to the alliance.

The survey also added the Third Front led by Samajwadi Party and Pappu Yadav may not have any impact. It may not also act as vote spoiler. Simiarly the Asaduddin Owaisi’s MIM too may not make any difference.

Meanwhile, the Left and BSP will further be declining in the election.

The NDA seems to be getting good support from upper casts, lower OBCs too and also from sections of Dalits including Paswan community.

Meanwhile, it is said the alliance is mainly relying on the votes of Yadavs, Muslims and Kurmi-Koeris.
