Our Garrett Leight California Optical flagship location opened its doors in December 2012 on La Brea Ave. Its retail selection features the complete GLCO collection and a wide variety of custom options. The 1200 square foot space is staffed by licensed (and stylish) opticians who can help you find the perfect frame.
GLCO flagships are a one-stop shop where you can both be fitted into your new frames, have your prescription filled, your frames adjusted or customized with an extensive collection of vintage American glass and layered mirror lenses. La Brea features interactive additions such as displays with imagery from our curated magazine Spectacle, free downloadable mixtapes and reading materials courtesy of the GLCO team.
We’re in good company situated in The La Brea Quarter. Our space is just a stone’s throw from the landmark vintage destination American Rag and is less than a block from tasty pastries via Sycamore Kitchen. Some of our other neighbors include Stussy, Union LA, Undefeated, Steven Alan and What Goes Around Comes Around. These established retailers and GLCO have helped create a rare walkable shopping experience in the heart of Los Angeles in an area famous for its art galleries, furniture showrooms and fashionable boutiques.
