The Maharashtra government meanwhile has said all the cases related to Chhota Rajan have been handed over to the CBI. This is the reason he will not be taken to Mumbai, but to Delhi.
The 55-year-old had been living in Australia with a different name fearing his enemies would find and murder him. It is also said he has conveyed to officials his reluctanct to go to Mumbai due to threats from Dawood Ibrahim, the underworld don and terrorist who is also one of the most wanted men here in India.
Dawood is Rajan’s former boss turned enemy.
Rajan has alleges some of the police in Mumbai have links with Dawood and Indian government should look into it.
Sources say Rajan may land in Delhi at around 5 a.m. tomorrow.
