Retail Tech Innovator Selected as One of 24 Disruptors Set to Transform the Consumer Shopping Experience

LOS ANGELES, December 9, 2015 – In-mall mobile retail solution StepsAway today announced that it has been selected as one of 24 retail tech innovators to showcase its solution at the National Retail Federation’s “The Launch Pad” at Retail’s BIG Show EXPO, planned for January 17-19, 2016 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.

The Launch Pad is a special area, which features promising retail technology startups that are set to make a big impact on the industry. StepsAway will preview its newly enhanced proprietary cloud-based platform, SAConnect™, which enables national retailers to efficiently create and deliver mobile promotions across multiple mall properties and mall owners, from their corporate headquarters on a single platform.

“Retailers and mall developers are recognizing that smart mobile strategies are needed to effectively influence on-property consumer purchase decisions with dynamic, tailored offers,” said Allan Haims, CEO of StepsAway. “Since our launch in the Fall of 2014, StepsAway has seen dramatic growth in mall adoption and retailer and consumer participation. Our proprietary solution was specifically developed to drive consumer engagement and revenue on-property with hyperlocal retailer offers.”

At the show, StepsAway will showcase its solution in Booth #LP2 and Haims will take the Launch Pad stage to discuss the market drivers and main highlights of the solution in a presentation titled, “Connecting Retailers’ Promotions to Shoppers’ Smartphones in the Mall,” on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 from 1:15 – 1:30 p.m.

The StepsAway mobile web app provides shoppers smartphone access to hyperlocal in-store deals accessible via a participating mall’s Wi-Fi network.

StepsAway is currently deployed in many of the premier shopping centers across the U.S., including Short Hills Mall in New Jersey, North Star in San Antonio, Atlanta’s Perimeter Mall, and Northridge Fashion Center in Los Angeles.
