Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said Monday the BJP is almost begging him for an apology to finance minister Arun Jaitley over the DDCA row.

He added the government probe has not given clean chit to either Jaitley or others involved in the several wrongdoings in DDCA though it has not named anyone.

Kejriwal tweeted, “No clean chit ever given by any Del govt probe. That report confirmed several instances of wrongdoings but did not fix responsibility.”

Jaitley was the head of DDCA during a period of 1999 and 2013 whwn irregularities had taken place. The Feroz Shah Kotla stadium renovation work was escalated from Rs 24 crore to Rs 144 crore. Also, the laptops hiring was billed at Rs 16,000 a day.

More to all these, the companies which were given the contracts during Jaitley’s leadership had same directors and same addresses.

On Sunday the BJP spokesperson MJ Akbar said the Delhi chief minister shoud apologize to Jaitley as the released report has not named anyone.

Earlier, Jaitley filed a defamaton case against Kejriwal and five of his other leaders over allegations levelled against him.
