Green Car Congress: Volkswagen up! gets its first turbo; 3-cylinder, 1L TSI with 88.5 hp

Volkswagen is introducing a new version of the up! at the Geneva Motor Show. In addition to numerous cosmetic changes, equipment and infotainment system, the new up! will feature a new 3-cylinder 1.0 TSI turbocharged gasoline direct injection engine delivering 66 kW/88.5 hp. The maximum torque of 160 N·m is available from 1,500 rpm.
