A party should have three things – sumptuous food, free flowing drinks and a great set of people. When you’re the host, you don’t want to be bothered with cooking complex dishes that keep you stressed and away from your guests and the fun. For your next party, find the best caterers that can wow your guests with these easy finger foods that boast of fresh flavours, that satisfy them without leaving them too full to mingle.

Add goat cheese, parsley and red pepper flakes with salt and spoon into button mushrooms. Bake in an oven at 200 degrees for 20 minutes until lightly brown.

Creamy Devilled Eggs – Perfect to start a casual evening, simply boil eggs and let them cool. Peel eggs, cut in half and remove the yolks, leaving the whites intact. In a separate bowl, mash the yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, shallots and hot sauce and mount the mixture onto the whites with a sprinkle of paprika.

Devils on Horseback – Salty, sweet and indulgent, this appetizer involves slicing a date, removing the seed and stuffing it with a little cheese. The date is then wrapped in a slice of bacon, held in place with a toothpick and baked for 20 minutes.

Baked Sesame Coconut Chicken Fingers with Mint Yogurt Dip – Who doesn’t love crispy fried chicken? Hot crispy chicken strips, flavoured with coconut and coated with sesame seeds dipped in cooling mint yogurt dip goes well with chilled beers and cocktails. Its texture and flavour make this an addictive snack your guests won’t be able to stop snacking on.

Sweet and Sour Chicken Wings – A family favourite, all you need is vinegar, sugar, paprika, garlic, salt and pepper to marinate your chicken in overnight. Bake for 30 minutes while basting it half way through cooking. This sticky-sweet treat is finger-licking good.

Shrimp Cocktail – Creamy and saucy, shrimp cocktail is an all-time party hit. Simply boil shelled, deveined prawns in water with lemon juice, onions, black peppercorn, bay leaf and salt for a couple of minutes till prawns are opaque. Serve cold with cocktail sauce or tomato-ketchup-mayo mix.
