Google and Acer together have come up with “Chrome-base for meetings.” Priced tagged at $799, the new product is an all-in-one standalone secure video conferencing device sporting screen size of 24-inch.
The Chrome-base for meetings comes with a resolution of 1080p touchscreen equipped with high-definition conferencing camera, two stereo speakers and four microphones.
According to Taiwanese hardware and electronics firm Acer the new device has largest display available on any Chrome operating system computer.
Chromebooks comes with long-life battery life, good virus protection built and are also easy to use. The machine does not slow down over time.
Acer adds Chromebooks can be synced with Android phones and tablets for the use on the go operations if a user does not have the laptop at a time.
The first Chromebox for meetings was released in 2014. This is the second in the series.
The new Chromebase can connect up to 25 people to Google Hangout meetings and currently it is made available only in the US, Canada, Britain, Ireland and Australia. Soon the same is expected in other markets too.
