NASA’s Mars rover Curiosity acquired this image using its Mars Hand Lens Imager (MAHLI) on February 7, 2017, Sol 1602 of the Mars Science Laboratory Mission, at 05:53:28 UTC. The largest size of the above figure:https://www.flickr.com/photos/fossil_lin/31919839824/sizes/o/
Spherical ooids are marked with red lines. The ooids measure smaller than 0.5 mm in diameter. Previously, ooids were found in High Dune and Namib Dune of the Bagnold Dunes (see http://www.questjournals.org/jrees/papers/vol3-issue1/B310513.pdf )
