(Before It's News)

The upcoming iPhone has already been the talk of the town— courtesy Apple’s tenth anniversary and the unprecedented success of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. However, Apple is expected to bring in a host of radical changes for the 2017 line-up of gadgets. Amidst the upcoming ramifications, the most important change would be Apple’s move to ditch iPhone 8 as the name for its 2017 flagship. Not just the name, we might also see a shift in the launch date of this gadget— which usually comes on-board by September.

The best part is that Apple will surely be launching three iPhones this year with the lesser ones getting the 7s branding. We are, therefore, expecting iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus to show up alongside the much-anticipated ‘iPhone Edition’— which will surely be talked about in subsequent sections.

iPhone Edition which is now being teased in the place of iPhone 8 is expected to pack in a lot of good stuffs. We are looking forward to a massive 5.8-inch OLED display as compared to the existing screen real-estates of 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch, respectively. In addition to all these, this edition of iPhone also gives out an edge-to-edge glass display— thereby changing the decade long design principles.

If these changes take form, Apple will be successful in ditching the numerical schema associated with naming gadgets. In addition to that, a new branding was actually desirable considering 2017 to be the big year for Apple. These are some of the less verified presumptions which already look plausible moving towards the second quarter of 2017. That said, if iPhone’s ‘tenth anniversary edition’ is named as expected, even the Apple Watch might experience the same— therefore getting closer to the smartphone in general.

When it comes to the launch date, the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus might be launched in September and the iPhone Edition can be the only device to be pushed back. Different launch dates have been assigned to different set of devices for a specific reason. Apple wants to make the launch of iPhone 8 or rather the iPhone Edition very special and this is reason it might push back the official reveal by a couple of months.

There are certain technologies which need time to materialize and Apple will leave no stone unturned to create the best possible device for its tenth anniversary. Be it the existence of laser-scanning technology or augmented reality, iPhone Edition is expected to come up with many surprises. An extension of a few months would mean that Apple would be able to choose its own material and might be able to finalize on the fate of the physical button.

While some might argue that the 7s series might be ignored due to the hype surrounding the iPhone Edition, Apple has assured that it will put everything in perspective and treat every segment with similar precision. India, being a raging market for iPhones, will also see some major changes in how the devices are retailed. Apple is already considering a Make in India initiative which might reduce the costs for the existing and even upcoming devices. Moreover, if the iPhone Edition comes equipped with secured AI technologies like the ones we are expecting, Aadhar card linking and other biometric inclusions will surely get simplified.

In addition to that, Apple’s new philosophy of postponing the launch of its best smartphone might just work in favor of this company.
