NASA claims the rocks seen by Curiosity rover in Gale Crater, Mars are sedimentary rocks–mudstones and sandstones (note 1). However, nearly all those “sedimentary rocks” are found to contain volcanic minerals (note 1). It’s a mystery (note 2) that has not been solved. Now the mystery is solved: Martians used volcanic minerals in making artificial rocks (note 3).
