Samsung launched today its next flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S8, after much speculation over past few months. The device is learned to come with a voice assistant named Bixby, a rival to Apple’s Siri and Google’s Assistant.
In India the Galaxy S8 is said to be priced tagged at around Rupees 47,000. Registrations to begin from March 30 and the device will be made available from April 21 in select markets. The release here could take some more time.
Samsung Galaxy S8 comes in two variants based on screen sizes. The smaller sibling sports a 5.8-inch screen while the Plus model to be equipped with a 6.2-inch display.
The important attraction in the phone is Bixby that can search restaurant, book a cab, take screenshots and do many more tasks with a perfect amalgam of voice, vision and touch.
The device comes with a 12-megapixel rear camera with multi-frame processing as well as optical image stabilization. The selfie area is mounted with a 8-megapixel auto-focus shooter.
The device is dust and water resistant. It comes with several advanced security features including face recognition, scanner and fingerprint scanner.
Samsung Galaxy S8 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Octa core processor and fueled by a 3,000 mAh battery. The Galaxy S8 Plus comes with a 3,500 mAh battery.
The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and comes with USB-C and 3.5mm headphone jacks.
