It will be getting colder and you are going to need some of these to be able to make. Keep the items on hand so that you can make them anytime you will need one.

 

DIY Instant Hand Warmers

Fill a large ziplock bag a quarter of the way with Calcium Chloride ice-melt pellets. You can get this at any hardware store.

 Fill a smaller ziplock bag , one that can fit into the bigger one, with water. Close it tight and put into the bigger bag with the ice-melt in it. Seal it tight.

Squeeze the bags until the smaller one with the water breaks open.

This will create a heat producing reaction that will last from 20 minutes to an hour. Keep in your pockets to keep your hands warm.
