We were supposed to have our first snow last night but it just drizzled a bit of cold rain. Sissy goat of course, cried for a while and then decided to go ahead and sleep in the converted chick brooder house I turned into a gog (goat dog) house. All I did was pull the roosts out and change the chicken wire to pieces of scrap plywood I had laying around to basically make a 3 sided gog house for her. I put straw in it and sat in it with her for a while so she’d figure out it was for her.
Grizz is starting to play now that he’s just got me and Sissy all the time. The toys that were forever collecting dust are now getting chewed on and Grizz has learned to fetch.
I have about half the quilt top done. I had to do a little troubleshooting on the sewing machine, it came back from the repair shop a bit too tight for quilting fabric. The bobbin tension was causing the fabric to bunch up. So, a little twist here and a turn there and I got the machine sewing more or less the way I want it. My poor rotary cutter has seen better days and is pretty dull so it’s been a little harder to cut and trim the fabric than I anticipated. Maybe this weekend I can find somebody going to town that will take me along so I can find a replacement blade. Until then, make due with what I have and be happy about it. I’m kind of liking the color blend now that it’s all put together. It’s going to be a nice quilt when it’s done!
