I’ve been spending a little more time than usual on Twitter lately in an effort to build a dedicated following of readers there and drive traffic to this site, and the coolest thing happened recently.

I tweeted an article I wrote a while back entitled “Rock Star is a Closet Prepper” that was all about Joel Madden, front-man for the rock band Good Charlotte, admitting on an interview show to having what amounts to Bug-Out Bags of survival gear. And, since he’s on Twitter and has over 730,000 followers, I linked my tweet to his name.

Honestly, it was just a case of shameless…
