Did you know the average age of a US farmer is somewhere around 64 years old? And from the survey I did last year (most of you participated – thanks!) the average age of gardeners on this list is about 56.
You’ve seen the gray in my hair! LOL.
An important topic is ‘how can we continue to grow food as we age, and as our physical abilities decline?’. So today I have a video for you with my friend Bonnie which is the beginning of a whole series I am working on.
Bonnie is 62 and has a bad back and knees. In this video Bonnie discusses how she overcomes physical limitations and we discuss;
- garden tools for those with bad backs
- tips on bed sizes to ease strain
- do knee pads and stools help?
If this is you, or you’ve got parents or grandparents who are gardening or want to grow their own groceries then have them watch this inspiring video.

Cheers!

PS: Hey did you participate in the current survey I’ve got going? It is super quick (only 1 question!) and I am giving out prizes to randomly selected winners. I want to hear what you have to say.
