Satellite Communications With Budget Ham Radios

This is a game changer. As long as there are satellites orbiting the earth, I can communicate hundreds of miles using a handheld radio (HT). This really expands the abilities of the Baofeng, that I mention in my Budget Ham Radio post.
This video proved that by adding an ExpertPower 14.4″ Dual Band Two-way Radio Antenna to a Baofeng, it can really expand the transmit/receive range of this handheld (HT) radio.
I plan to test this scenario with the stock antenna on my Baofeng as soon as possible, but for now I’ll assume that I’d need to add a longer antenna (ExpertPower 14.4″ Dual Band Two-way Radio Antenna).
