Sadly, yes. I was young, selfish and dumb. It was my immature response to getting out of a relationship. I was a coward and I should have never done that to anyone no matter what the situation was. No one deserves that. And it was a very long time ago.

I was a freshman in high school and started dating someone I ran track with. He came to my little brother’s baseball game. We decided to go for a walk on the playground and he kissed me.

I’ve actually still got it! I work at one of the nicest marinas on the Tennessee River. I love it there! I’m working on 14 years there now. I started when I was 16.

I was 20. My dad made a deal with me when I was younger. He told me if I wanted to try a drink, I was going to do it with him the first time. My first drink was Jack and Coke around a campfire in Tellico. My dad has always watched over me and had my back.

10. Do you still keep in touch with your high school best friend?
I do, but not nearly enough. I’m thankful to stay connected with Facebook. We lead different lives now that I have a little boy so there’s not much we have in common anymore. Some of my best memories growing up had her in them. She’s always been there for me any time I’ve needed her.
