It’s official….I am finally breaking through the plateau that has plagued me for months. I was pretty sure it was happening last week, but I was afraid it was some kind of fluke. I can finally confirm I am still losing weight steadily!
I have this renewed sense of motivation and accomplishment now. It feels amazing! I know there’s going to be a point that I have to choose to stop. Or possibly my body will choose for me. But today is not that day.
I gave you my weekly meal plan last week and promised to explain what was going on. I stumbled across
The Fast Metabolism Diet.
I started reading the book and it just made sense to me. I know without a doubt that I wrecked my metabolism. No matter how hard I was working out and how clean I was eating, I could not get that scale to move in the right direction.
I began reading articles about caffeine slowing down your metabolism. Combine that with my low calorie diet and it just completely destroys the way my metabolism functions.
After reading the book, I knew that it was worth giving a try. I cut out all coffee from my diet. I was drinking over a pot of coffee a day. Then I started following the eating plan in the book. It’s super simple, unprocessed foods. The part that makes it work is the combination of foods and frequency. I ate as much as I wanted and didn’t feel deprived at all. That’s a huge difference!
After a week, I started feeling more energetic and a lot lighter. Right before I began the plan, my weight had crept up slowly. I was doing everything I knew to take it back off and nothing was working. In two weeks of eating according to the plan (and maybe a couple of cheats), I have lost 16.2 pounds. That’s just unheard of for my body!
I have literally eaten like a pig, y’all! I’ve discovered through this that I do in fact have a dairy sensitivity. I can tell 20 minutes after eating something dairy. My stomach just feels awful! I had no idea this was going on until I tried healing my metabolism.
