Home defense is an often misunderstood and overlooked aspect of prepping. Most people feel that a hand gun in the nightstand and a shot gun under the bed will do the job just fine. The problem with that line of thought is you have already lost. You don’t want the intruder making it to your home undetected let alone making it inside before action is taken. A good home defense system doesn’t need to cost a fortune either. Sure a high-tech 50 camera systems with 10 screens looks cool in the movies, but that type of systems is a reality for most of us and it isn’t needed either. Many times low-tech beet out high-tech…this is one of those times.
