Best Laser Sight for Glock 42?
The Crimson Trace LG-443 Laserguard is specifically made for the Glock 42. It’s a Glock 42 laser aiming device. For the little Glock. It’s a fricken laser beam. Get it?
The Crimson Trace series of laserguards has been around for a substantial amount of time but doesn’t seem to be losing steam. The product is:
- Easy to install.
- User friendly.
- Ambidextrous.
- Accurate.
- Has long battery life.
The LG-443 for Glock 42 comes with a standard red laser and installs over the trigger guard (hence the name “laser guard”) in two piece as a clamp style.
There are two screws used to cinch down the Crimson Trace and it activates with a simple grip of the pistol. Also the hex key to install is included. That’s it. The activation button is under the portion directly under the trigger guard and turns on naturally when you grip the pistol whether it be with your left or right hand.
It is a lightweight product and adds little to the overall weight of an already super flyweight pistol. So it doesn’t get in the way, takes zero thought to turn on and it’s easy to sight in too. There are a windage and elevation screws to make the adjustments which are fast and… you guessed it… simple. I got mine close by moving the laser dot to the point of aim on my sights and then tweaked it from there.
Some people are laser people. Others are not. Most of the time you’ll know early on whether you’re into them or not. If your eyes aren’t the best with open sights, especially with a bump in the night a laser dot is easy to pick up. While an electric laser sight is a technological device that can fail, I believe CT has done their darndest to create a device that is both easy for ANYONE to use and pretty bombproof too.
Lastly, I forgot to mention Crimson Trace will provide batteries for the life of your device. You’ll never have to search for those funny little button sized batteries ever again. Kudos to you Crimson Trace. I hate paying for batteries.
