  • Cool product. On a side note what do you mean by FEMA-proofing? If they come round you up it’s not like they’re gonna say “Oh. Gee Whiz. You got a rocket stove? Nevermind. We’ll just let ya go.”

    • Indeed. LOL. I suggest that you will be less likely to need to go there when you power goes out. If they are coming for you, well it is portable and designed for car-camping.

      • Oh I see what you mean. That makes sense. Sometimes The Clucker is a little slow on the draw. I do a lot of camping so I could use something like that. Seems like a good design.

        Thanks,

        ~Clucker

    • Thanks BIN readers for checking this out! This article was written a while ago and the design is yet improved. Here’ some more background on my mobile rocket camp-stove and fireplace insert.

Maintaining your family’s ability to keep warm, prepare food and have clean water will be extremely difficult in these possible events. Turn your power off for a day and see what happens. “Prepping” might expose you to ridicule, however, a lack of preparations will leave you cold and starving.

The option to travel will be limited. How would you transport the many provisions and equipment you will need? One should be prepared to “shelter in place.”

My own contribution to this ability is a unique heating and cooking source – the Gordon Rocket One – the next generation rocket stove. Now with removable chimney – it can serve as a emergency fireplace insert with 7-10 times fuel efficiency. Until there is a real problem it would be great on a hunting, camping or beach outing.

It is an improvement on the rocket stove / mass heater and mobile. The GR1 would be a god-send in a SHTF scenario allowing you instantly bake, boil or fry. Most importantly it will have an unlimited fuel source wherever you are. You could burn tires in it safely if you had to.

If you have the skills – build your own on the simple design. The more individuals are prepared – the better off we will all be. See GordonRocketCompany.com and let me know what you think of this new product.

I have been able to reduce the price with factory direct sales over the internet. $50 off for BIN readers. Just $250 now. Support preparedness, support your family.

      David Gordon
