Yesterday we agreed to take better care of ourselves. You may be wondering how you’re even supposed to do that. As women we put our wants and needs on the back burner and sometimes forget what it’s even like to not.
I have a list of things that I want you to begin this week.
Drink enough water for your body. Take your weight, divide it in half. That’s the number of ounces I want you to drink each day. This one step will make the biggest difference in your body. Your weight, your complexion, your digestion, your mental clarity will all benefit from this one simple thing.
Remove the junk. No artificial sweeteners, preservatives, or additives. If you cannot pronounce it, you do not need to eat it. If God didn’t make it, you don’t ingest it.
If you are already active, keep going! If you are not, I want you to take a 20 minute walk two times this week. This is a baby step and you can do it. We can work up for here!
Find an accountability person or share your success on social media. I know this can be so embarrassing, but it can also be the biggest reward. Most people in your life do actually want the best for you and will cheer you on. You need encouragement and support. I was terrified to actually post my weight loss progress on Facebook years ago, but the love and support I received was well worth the initial hesitation. You never know who you will inspire or what change your story will bring to someone else.
That’s it. Four things. Anyone can do that, right? I didn’t ask you to enroll in a gym and workout six days a week. I didn’t ask you to eliminate any food groups or spend massive amounts of money to live better. Your family won’t do without anything but possibly artificial crap. I’m doing this with you and we are going to feel amazing together.
