(Before It's News) These peanut butter kiss cookies are one of the most popular cookies on any holiday tray!
Cooking baking is in full force so we thought for this week’s recipe we would share our favorite ‘go-to’ cookie recipe for any time of the year.
These cookies are easy to recognize on a holiday tray – a classic peanut butter cookie with a Hershey kiss sitting upright in the center. You better act fast if you want to try one at your holiday gathering because these cookies are always the first ones to be eaten. Better yet – make an extra batch to keep at home!
Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies Mix the first 5 ingredients together before adding the dry ingredients The dough you end up with will be sticky, yet easy to roll into balls. Roll dough into balls and place on a baking sheet Once the cookies come out of the oven, add the unwrapped hershey kiss to the middle of each cookie. Peanut butter kiss cookies cooling on the rack.
Ingredients: 1/2 c. butter (softened) 1/2 c. peanut butter (creamy) 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. packed brown sugar 1 egg 1 1/4 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 3/4 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375° F
Mix together first 5 ingredients.
Mix together remaining dry ingredients and slowly add to the first 5 ingredients. Mix until you form a sticky dough.
Roll dough into small balls and place onto a greased cookie sheet or parchment lined baking sheet. *Optional – roll dough balls in white sugar before baking.
Bake 8-10 minutes or until just golden brown.
Unwrap Hershey kisses and place in the center of each cookie, while they are still hot.
