Why You Should Have a Personal Protection Dog

Do you have someone or something that is of such importance to you, that you’d be completely lost and emotionally devastated if anything were to happen?

Perhaps you’re a concerned parent with a child living in a less than desirable neighborhood?

Maybe you have elderly parents, and you can’t be there all the time to make sure they’re safe? How about a business owners? Often times business owners have valuable inventory that could use an extra set of eyes.

Regardless of how high or how low you’d rate your risk assessment when it comes to potential danger, the reality is nobody gets a reminder call that their attacker will be coming the following day. Would be attackers or robbers know that people in dangerous neighborhoods tend to be very mindful of their surroundings, or often carry sidearms as deterrents, and they also know potential victims in nicer areas tend to have a greater police presence, or have fast acting high tech security. Therefore, if a would be attacker wants what you have, and is desperate enough, today could be your unlucky day.

Unlike guns that have to be loaded, or alarms that need to be set with codes, a personal protection dog is on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, doesn’t misfire, doesn’t go down when the phone lines are cut, and you don’t need a concealed permit to walk with one.

A personal protection dog can also protect you virtually anywhere. It doesn’t matter if you’re out jogging, walking through the town market, in your car, or snuggled up watching a movie at home. Even better, is that a personal protection dog is on duty, even when they are passive, and no threats are “apparent.” That leaves you or your loved ones free to go about your daily activities, and should danger arise, you never have to worry about freezing up or panicking, because your dog is ready to eliminate any potential threat to you in a seconds notice, with the right training.

In interviews with convicted burglars, protection dogs have been at the top of the list of reasons that would deter them from a criminal act.

Unlike their human counterparts, they can hear and smell things their masters cannot

They have the ability to easily scare to startle would be attackers

Even just the act of barking can alert neighbors that something isn’t right, and send an attacker running.

Most criminals will freely admit to law enforcement, if they know there is a protection dog present, there is no way they are going near that person or their property.

Once you’ve made the decision you don’t want to be dependent on a power grid, someone in a call center monitoring the whole town you live in, or being handy with a gun, and you’ve decided you want a personal protection dog, next you need to know where to find one. Not all dogs are capable of being protection dogs. Some of the more popular and “trendy” breeds like Doberman Pinchers, Rottweilers, American Pit-bulls, and American Bulldogs are bred more for their looks, than for performance. That’s why I suggest going to Clay’s Top Dog in Conway Arkansas (pictured right).

At Clay’s, the first thing Clay is going to do is determine specifically what you want the dog to do, that way Clay and his staff can find the perfect fit for you. Because communication is so important between the master and the personal protection dog, once your communication style is known, Clay can go to work finding you the ultimate companion. All protection dogs are imported from Europe, and all come with a specific owner’s tendencies and style in mind. See what Clay has to say for yourself:

“My goal at Clay’s Top Dog is to teach you how to effectively communicate with your dog to achieve the types of behaviors you desire. I believe that all dogs and their owners can benefit from dog training and obedience training. Whether it is teaching basic obedience or applying behavior modification techniques to teach your dog how to be the well mannered companion that you have always wanted. As in any healthy relationship you have to develop a proper foundation with your dog. In order to achieve this it is necessary to first understand how your dog perceives you and the world around him. Just like any relationship, it’s not only about the type of relationship you want to have, but also what type your significant other is capable of having with you.”

  • In today’s world this seems like a very good investment, there is no price to great to keep you and your loved ones safe.

  • (Hmm, I’ll try again, but this time tread very carefully indeed….)

Yes Mike, a very good investment indeed – perhaps also a delicious investment -?

  • So now people are posting bad ads for a business disguised as an article on BIN. No one has even heard of this clay person in the real protection dog business no doubt. But a company like CPI out of Boston comes up high in the google search and has an excellent reputation for training real protection dogs.

    • No one has ever heard of you either?

Why should we take a nobody’s word for anything?

If you haven’t heard of Clay Smith, you must not have been in the dog business very long!

Supplying dogs to 35 states and many countries. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GyKxLpJjTfM

  • I love dogs. And I had one once that would always protect my family. It was just his instinct, and he could be very scary. Now i just carry a gun. It’s easy and it doesn’t crap on my lawn.

  • Sad really ………………… velly velly sad.
