Former Member of Parliament: Shen Yun ‘To be congratulated’
[topic]AUCKLAND, New Zealand—Former member of the New Zealand parliament and manager for the Maori Trustee Office Pita Paraone attended the evening show of Shen Yun Performing Arts at the ASB theatre on Saturday 21 April.
Mr. Paraone enjoyed the display of authentic Chinese culture saying the performers “ought to be congratulated for the way they presented Chinese culture and the history.”
New York-based Shen Yun is a classical Chinese dance and music company whose mission is to revive the 5000-year-old traditional Chinese culture.
Mr. Paraone was amazed by the use of technology to complement the performance, and the live orchestra was particularly impressive for him.
With state-of-the-art graphics technology, Shen Yun’s digital-backdrop team creates vividly animated settings, extending the stage and transporting the audience to a world where heaven and earth are one, says the Shen Yun website.
Mr. Paraone expressed his thoughts about a deeper meaning in the performance.
“I think that the issue of peace and harmony, and living with the environment, and the need for people to get on with one another irrespective of what one’s beliefs might be.”
