(Before It's News)

[topic]AUCKLAND, New Zealand—Shen Yun Performing Arts New York Company held its a third performance at the ASB Theatre in Auckland on Saturday night, April 21.

Pauline Pertab had been waiting several years to be able to see Shen Yun Performing Arts and she was not short of words in expressing her thoughts.

“I was stunned by the opening and the visual effects.”

Ms. Pertab is a manager at Montessori pre-school in Auckland.

“We have a lot of Chinese students at the school, a lot of all nationalities actually, but a very high proportion of Chinese, so yes I really wanted to come and see the show, to see more about the culture.”

Ms. Pertab was affected by the dance depicting the persecution of the spiritual practice of Falun Dafa, saying it “really touched my heart.”

Shen Yun uses state-of-the-art graphics technology, Shen Yun’s digital-backdrop team creates vividly animated settings, extending the stage and transporting the audience to a world where heaven and earth are one, according to the Shen Yun website.

“It’s amazing, they float down from heaven and then they’re here. It’s like the real people have come down and there on stage … it’s really superb you know they come down and then there they are on stage and then they float away again, it’s amazing, it’s amazing, I wish I knew how they did it.”

Ms. Pertab felt a deeper message in the show.

“I think it’s an important message…I don’t know whether I’ve got the whole essence of the message, but the message as I see it is that the old culture, the old spirituality and the nationhood really I suppose, hopefully is coming back and the dictatorial presence maybe will go and all the beautiful things can come back. That is the message that I see and hear.”

She said she would introduce the show to her friends and family.

“Oh I’ll be starting on Monday, I go to work on Monday and I really wish I’d brought all my staff and my family to see it, because I think that a lot of what, well what we know of China is very little and I think the richness really has come through here.”
